Hello, we are a friendly group of enthusiastic walkers who enjoy our time together.

We walk on the third Wednesday of the month, starting around 10.30am.  We communicate the information about each walk through a shared WhatsApp Group a couple of weeks before the walk. 

Group members put themselves forward to lead a walk, no more than once or twice a year.  Each leader plans their own walk (we endeavour to find a pub along the way or at the end for a meal and occasionally we take a packed lunch).  The majority of walks take us into Hertfordshire.  New members can pair with an experienced walk leader to plan a walk.

Car sharing is encouraged so we do not all have to drive every time and where possible we use public transport.

Please assess your own level of fitness to participate in any walk. Good walking shoes are required.

The dates for the third Wednesday of each month for 2025/26 are as follows:

2025 - Sept 17th, Oct 15th, Nov 19th, December will be our Christmas walk on Wednesday 3rd December, a shorter walk with a Festive Meal at the end at The Plough, Cattlegate Road, Enfield (Crews Hill).  We will tie up with the 8+ mile walking group for this. 

2026 - Jan 21st, Feb 18th, Mar 18th, Apr 15th
