What is u3a?

u3a is a UK-wide movement of 1000+ charities that create the opportunity for members to come together to share skills and learn for fun.

We are one of over 1000 locally-run u3as in the UK, each being a separate charity. We are affiliated to the Third Age Trust (TAT), which provides services including public liability insurance, learning support, advice and other benefits.

u3a national website

The u3a national office hosts a number of Online Events and Workshops open to all u3a members.

Palmers Green & Southgate u3a is in the London Region, with a Regional Trustee who represents the region on the Board of the Third Age Trust. We send a delegate to regular meetings of the London Region, which organises talks, shared learning projects and summer schools.
Full members of our u3a receive a national magazine, Third Age Matters, five times a year.

Our members mainly come from Palmers Green, Southgate and the surrounding areas including Arnos Grove, Barnet, Bounds Green, Cockfosters, Barnet, Enfield, Lower Edmonton, Muswell Hill, Potters Bar, Winchmore Hill and Wood Green.
